Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) often serve as the hub of child sexual abuse and other child maltreatment investigations. Last year more than 11,000 children were referred to a CAC by law enforcement and child protective services following an allegation of child abuse. CACs also provide support and therapy to child victims involved in these investigations at no cost to the family.

Each year, the conference draws hundreds of professionals from around the state who work with children and families during and after the investigation. These attendees include: forensic interviewers, prosecutors, law enforcement, medical providers, victim advocates, and mental health professionals. The goal of this conference is to promote professional excellence by offering specialized interdisciplinary education on a range of topics related to the prevention, investigation, and intervention of child abuse.

Your support of this conference ensures that we can offer first-class training while keeping the registration fees low. Help us to make these workshops accessible to more professionals in and around Michigan and foster excellence in the community response to child maltreatment.
